Gear notes

Nikon D5300 · Askar 71F · Skywatcher HEQ5 Pro mount · ZWO ASIAir Plus — 6 × 120s subs, first test shot on this rig.

My second shot with my new manual rig, another test shot whilst I get used to the end to end workflow. With only around 12 minutes of total integration time, I’m still amazed with how much detail and colour my trusty DSLR camera has captured. My Nikon D5300 is unmodified, which means the majority of Hydrogen Alpha light gets filtered out before hitting the sensor. This also means that those greens and blues are accentuated during processing, which I quite like.
